There are three different reasons to write to us, and they go to three different places. A factual error in one of our guides goes to the corrections desk. A question about New York goes to the editorial desk. A business enquiry goes to the commercial desk. Using the right address means your message reaches someone who can actually act on it, instead of sitting in a general inbox.

Editorial corrections

If a guide contains an error, a closed venue, a changed fare, a wrong hour, an out-of-date address, or a broken link, tell us and we will fix it. Include the guide name and the specific line that is wrong, and say what the correct information is if you know it. That lets us correct the page in one pass rather than researching it from scratch.

Send corrections to contact@itinerio.com with the subject line starting with "Correction". Travel information ages quickly, and reader reports are the main way we keep these pages accurate. We do not need you to prove anything before we will look into it.

Questions about New York

Questions about the city go to the same address with a subject line starting with "Question". We can help with planning a trip, choosing between neighbourhoods, and figuring out how a specific route works. Please include your travel dates if they matter, because the answer for January and for July can be different.

One thing we cannot do over email is book things for you. Restaurants, museums, and tours are run by other people, and we would rather point you at the official booking page than hold a reservation on your behalf.

Business, press and partnerships

Advertising enquiries, press requests, and partnership proposals should go to contact@itinerio.com with the subject line starting with "Business". Please include the outlet name, the proposed format, and the dates you have in mind.

To be clear about what we will and will not consider: we do not accept payment to include a venue in a guide, to place a venue in a ranking, or to write editorial copy about a business. We do consider paid placements that are visibly labelled as advertising and that are kept separate from the guides themselves. If a proposal asks us to write a guide about a paid product, we will decline it.

How quickly we reply

We read every message. During peak travel seasons there can be a short delay, and we aim to reply to corrections within a few working days and to general questions within about a week. If your message is urgent and concerns a booking or a trip starting in the next day or two, say so in the subject line and we will prioritise it.

Email address

Our address is contact@itinerio.com. Please write to us rather than using a form, because it puts your message directly in front of an editor rather than in a queue that nobody checks.

Mailing address

Itinerio Editorial
PO Box 2458
New York, NY 10116
United States

Post is the right channel for anything that needs a signature, a contract, or a postal address. It reaches us considerably more slowly than email, so for a correction or a question, email first.

What we cannot help with

So that you do not wait for a reply that will not come: we do not give medical, legal, or immigration advice, we cannot guarantee that a venue will be open when you arrive, and we cannot recover money you have paid to a third party. For entry and visa questions, always check the official government sources for your nationality, since rules change and only those sources are authoritative.

Data and privacy requests

Requests about your personal data also come to contact@itinerio.com with the subject line starting with "Data request". That covers access to the data we hold about you, correction of that data, deletion of it, objection to certain uses, and withdrawal of consent where you have given it. We confirm receipt of each request and respond within the period the applicable law requires, which is one month under the GDPR.

You do not need to explain yourself in detail or provide identification beyond what is needed to find the relevant records. If we cannot fulfil a request in full, we will tell you which part we cannot do and why. The full description of how we handle data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which is worth reading if your question is about what we collect in the first place.

Working with us

We occasionally work with freelance writers who know a part of the city better than we do, and we are always glad to hear from a New Yorker who wants to write about their own neighbourhood. If that is you, send a short note to contact@itinerio.com with the subject line starting with "Writing", describing the area and the kind of guide you think is missing.

We will tell you plainly whether we think an idea will work. A guide has to answer a specific question, fit a slot in our coverage, and hold up to the same checking as everything else we publish, and there is no fee to pitch one. Please do not send confidential material, and note that if we do not take an idea, we will not be able to say more about our plans for it.

Accessibility

If any part of this site is difficult to use for you, including on a phone or with a screen reader, please tell us which page and what went wrong. We treat accessibility problems as bugs, and a message about one helps every reader who follows you. You can reach us at contact@itinerio.com with the subject line starting with "Accessibility".
